For companies that have outgrown a simple happy hour but aren’t ready for a full-scale conference production, planning the middle ground of corporate events can be a logistical nightmare. That’s the gap the founders of the French business travel agency Okarito are now targeting with their latest venture.
The team behind Okarito, the French business travel agency, has launched a new company focused on corporate gatherings. Vantly, which was founded in 2026 and is headquartered in New York, aims to help businesses organize better corporate events by removing the friction of local logistics.
Vantly matches companies with local expert planners so their small and medium-sized events are easier to organize.

Remi Duvoux and Brice originally founded Okarito in 2018, positioning it as a business travel agency tailored for startups and growing companies. The firm had secured 500 customers by 2022, the year Swile acquired it and rebranded it as Swile Travel. Under that new banner, the customer base expanded to 2,500. During their time running Okarito, the team also helped clients organize company retreats and offsites, giving them direct insight into the challenges of event planning.
Vantly’s model is straightforward. A company submits its requirements to Vantly, and the service then connects that company with a local expert planner based in the event’s destination. That planner handles the venue, suppliers, and bookings, and remains on-site for day-of support, while the company’s own organizer retains overall control of the event.
A significant portion of Vantly’s clientele are event professionals who manage everything from tiny team dinners to massive annual gatherings for their organizations. Vantly is designed specifically for those small and medium-sized events where bringing in a local expert can save time and prevent unexpected problems.
“The hardest problems in company events are often local,” said Duvoux. “On one client retreat in Prague, the hotels we wanted weren’t on the usual venue platforms, so we agreed the terms by email and phone, in broken English. Someone who knows the market makes that much easier.”
Brice serves as CEO of Vantly, while Duvoux, as co-founder, leads product and marketing efforts.

Why it matters: As remote and hybrid work normalize the need for intentional in-person gatherings, the market for mid-sized corporate events is exploding. Vantly’s approach of pairing a company’s own organizer with a boots-on-the-ground expert could become a standard template for how businesses handle retreats, offsites, and client events—saving money and sanity by solving the local problems that trip up even seasoned planners.
