“UHNW families have long been frustrated by prepackaged products, fragmented advisor relationships, and unnecessary complexity”— Nick Gregory, CEO of The Wealth Engineering Family of Companies
The Wealth Engineering Institute Introduces the Revamped, Web-Based Chartered Family Office Advisor™ (ChFOA™) Professional Credential for Professionals Working with UHNW Families – Uniting families, their advisors, and all aspects of their wealth™.
A ten-session online curriculum provides wealth managers, lawyers, CPAs, and other finance experts with the resources to design, oversee, and coordinate every facet of a family’s complete wealth – Navigating the UHNW advisory landscape at scale™.
The Wealth Engineering Institute, a member of The Wealth Engineering Family of Companies, has unveiled its revamped online Chartered Family Office Advisor™ (ChFOA™) designation, a professional certification tailored for advisors catering to UHNW families and their progressively intricate wealth structures.
Featuring a faculty of nationally recognized experts, the ChFOA™ program consists of a ten-session online curriculum — roughly 44 contact hours — that leads participants from family office frameworks and methodologies through specialized areas such as business entity design, employee compensation structuring, tax-qualified retirement planning, charitable capital approaches, asset protection, deferred compensation, business transition, and estate conservation, ending with a final course on family wealth psychology and governance.
“UHNW families have long been frustrated by prepackaged products, fragmented advisor relationships, and unnecessary complexity,” stated Nick Gregory, CEO and Board Chair of the Institute, referencing a seminal 1979 Stanford Research Institute survey of over 37,000 business owners that highlighted these exact issues and continues to influence the program’s structure. The ChFOA™ curriculum is grounded in the Institute’s Wealth Engineering Process, which integrates extensive interdisciplinary knowledge, strategic collaboration with external experts, and customized solutions — a methodology the Institute calls the FusionPowered Advisor model. This approach is intended to assist advisors in transitioning from a product-focused, AUM-driven practice to a holistic, fee-based family wealth solutions practice.
The Major Transformation in Wealth Advisory
Earning the ChFOA™ designation can enable professionals to evolve from product vendors to all-encompassing, fee-based solution providers, while streamlining technology and closing gaps in UHNW client offerings.
