Directable Inc., a provider of digital signage solutions, has revealed the launch of the Directable TV Pro Digital Signage Player on Amazon. This player is free of charge and works with Vega, Amazon’s fresh Linux-based operating system that replaces the Android-derived Fire OS on upcoming Fire TV devices.
Vega represents a significant transition for Amazon’s streaming hardware. The Fire TV Stick 4K Select (2025) was the initial device to ship with Vega, followed by the Fire TV Stick HD (2026). Directable has redesigned its signage application to work with Vega Developer Tools, positioning itself as one of the few digital signage platforms ready to operate on Amazon’s new OS.

Directable’s Vega-native player follows this future-ready approach, whereas many competing signage systems continue to rely on APK sideloading onto older Fire OS devices—a strategy with limited viability as Amazon confirms that all future Fire TV Sticks will operate on Vega.
