Trustwise launches GENESIS 2026 summit to tackle the AI control gap

With AI agents increasingly granted the authority to act on behalf of enterprises, the question of who—or what—keeps them in check has moved from theoretical concern to boardroom priority. That urgency is the driving force behind GENESIS 2026, a gathering Trustwise has convened in Austin to confront what it calls the widening “AI control gap.”

Austin executive summit explores how enterprises control autonomous agents, improve AI operating economics, and produce verifiable evidence.

The central premise of the summit, which runs October 23-25, is that a model alone no longer constitutes the whole system. As agents gain the ability to access tools, tap into enterprise data, delegate tasks, and take consequential actions, organizations must implement controls that span the entire execution chain—defining what agents can do, when human intervention is required, and what evidence proves that actions stayed within approved boundaries.

The financial stakes are significant. Gartner predicts that more than 40 percent of agentic AI initiatives will be canceled by the end of 2027, citing escalating run costs, unclear business returns, and insufficient operational risk controls as primary reasons.

“The model is no longer the whole system. Enterprises must control the execution chain: what agents can access, which tools they can use, how they delegate, and when they must stop,” said Manoj Saxena, founder and CEO of Trustwise. “GENESIS brings together leaders addressing those questions in real deployments, alongside the economics and evidence required to scale.”

The invitation-only summit draws participants and guest executives from organizations including FactSet, U.S. Bank, Schwab, NatWest, Wellington Management, IBM Apptio, Hitachi Digital Services, Yum! Brands, Cognition, and the NHS National Innovation Network, with investors from Insight Partners, Sway Capital, and Augment Ventures also in attendance. Notably, attendance does not imply a commercial customer or partner relationship. Former Gartner Distinguished Analyst Avivah Litan and Harvard Business School Professor Suraj Srinivasan will moderate executive panels.

The program zeroes in on five operational questions enterprise leaders are grappling with:

  • Business value: What separates enterprises building a durable AI advantage from those accumulating expensive experiments?
  • Accountability: Who owns an agent’s actions, and when should human approval be required?
  • Runtime control: How can enterprises enforce authority and policy across an agent’s execution chain?
  • AI operating economics: What does trustworthy execution cost across models, tools, retries, and human review?
  • Operating architecture: How can enterprises apply consistent controls across platforms, models, and agents?

A live demonstration of Trustwise AI Control Plane is also on the agenda, illustrating how runtime control supports enterprise AI deployments, with discussions covering AI operating economics and evidence tracking from intent to outcome.

“As intelligence becomes abundant, trust becomes the scarce asset,” said Sanoke Viswanathan, CEO of FactSet. “Our clients rely on AI agents for financial research and workflows where precision is mandatory. GENESIS brings together the leaders working out how to give agents real responsibility, with controls that make every action reliable and auditable.”

Executive sessions are scheduled for Friday, October 23, followed by private hospitality and networking during the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix weekend.

FAQ

What is Trustwise

Trustwise provides Trustwise AI Control Plane, which powers the client’s enterprise AI Control Tower. The product helps enterprises assess admissible execution chains, control the selected chain within defined authority, and continuously improve AI operating economics and performance. It records evidence linking intent, applicable policy, control decisions, execution, cost, and outcome.

Why does enterprise AI need runtime control

Agents can use enterprise tools, access data, delegate tasks, and take actions across multiple systems. A model evaluation alone cannot establish whether the resulting execution chain stays within enterprise authority. Runtime control applies enterprise requirements as supported agents act, including limits on tools, data access, delegation, and AI operating spend.

What does runtime control mean

Runtime control evaluates proposed actions against policy and authority before execution at supported integrations and configured enforcement points. Depending on the applicable policy, Trustwise AI Control Plane can allow, block, modify, or escalate a proposed action for human review. Evidence records connect the decision to the control context and observed execution outcome.

How does Assess Control Optimize work

Assess finds the best admissible chains that pass enterprise gates for security, reliability, and policy compliance. Control operates the selected chain within approved bounds. Optimize continuously improves AI operating cost and performance within the admissible set. Economic analysis covers the AI estate, including model and tool calls, retries, context, human review, and runtime control.

What is Trust Posture Management

Trust Posture Management is the operating model for understanding and managing the evidence-backed state of AI authority and control. Trustwise AI Control Plane supports this model through assessment, runtime enforcement, optimization, and evidence. Posture readings summarize exposure, AI operating economics, and sovereignty. Hard enterprise gates determine whether execution is permitted.

Who attends GENESIS

GENESIS is an invitation-only summit for C-suite leaders, board members, senior technology and AI executives, investors, and researchers engaged in deploying and scaling enterprise AI.

Why it matters: As enterprises increasingly delegate consequential actions to autonomous AI, the ability to control, audit, and justify every step of an agent’s execution chain will separate sustainable deployments from costly failures. The conversations and tools showcased at GENESIS 2026 signal that operational trust—not model capability—is becoming the decisive factor in scaling enterprise AI responsibly.
