For one week each October, New York’s Armory Show transforms the city into a global art hub — but this year, collectors didn’t have to choose between blue-chip fairs and landmark hospitality. MvVO ART SHOW 2026 turned the legendary Peacock Alley Corridor of the Waldorf Astoria New York into a contemporary art destination, and the response was immediate: nearly half of the works on display were acquired by collectors before the exhibition even closed.

Contemporary Art presented by MvVO ART in partnership with Waldorf Astoria New York and Guerlain Wellness Spa
NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, October 23, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The debut collaboration between MvVO ART SHOW 2026 and Waldorf Astoria New York, with Guerlain as a third partner, unfolded throughout Armory week to what organizers describe as an outstanding success on every level. Beyond the well-attended opening reception, the corridor saw a continuous stream of collectors, media and VIP guests, alongside guided art experiences coordinated with the Guerlain Wellness Spa. The commercial response was especially pronounced: strong collector interest translated into the acquisition of nearly half of all works presented on the floor.
“Bringing MvVO ART SHOW to Waldorf Astoria New York was a wonderful way to connect artists, collectors and guests through art,” said Maria van Vlodrop, Founder and CEO of MvVO ART. “I’m grateful to our partners and thrilled by the response.”
“We were delighted to welcome MvVO ART SHOW 2026 to Waldorf Astoria New York. The exhibition brought a fresh cultural experience to Peacock Alley Corridor and our guests,” said Luigi Romaniello, Managing Director of Waldorf Astoria New York.
Works spanning contemporary painting, photography, sculpture and mixed media filled the corridor, placing MvVO ART’s roster of artists within one of New York City’s most storied destinations. The exhibition also featured two distinctive Guerlain pieces: a sculptural interpretation of Pêche Mirage by French artist Charles Pétillon, and the Shalimar 100th Anniversary bottle created by Franco-Brazilian featherwork artist Janaïna Milheiro.
A first partnership at an iconic address

**Why it matters:** The show’s sales record at a landmark venue signals that luxury hospitality and contemporary art can form a commercially viable partnership, not just a cultural one. With the online extension on Artsy, MvVO ART is also proving that the reach of a physical exhibition can be amplified well beyond the walls of a single hotel corridor.
