D’Andre Lampkin launches his campaign for Ontario City Council District 3, focusing on public safety, growth, transparency, and community.

D’Andre Lampkin has formally announced his candidacy for Ontario City Council District 3 in advance of the election scheduled for November 3, 2026.

Lampkin, who serves as an Ontario Planning Commissioner and has lived in Ontario for 17 years, secured his spot on the District 3 ballot earlier this year. His key areas of focus are public safety, managed growth, infrastructure, government openness, and community involvement.

“Ontario has been my home for 17 years, and I am grateful for every opportunity I have had to serve this community,” Lampkin said. “I am running for City Council because I want to continue listening to residents and working on the issues that affect their neighborhoods and quality of life.”

As an Ontario Planning Commissioner, Lampkin brings experience in reviewing land-use issues, development proposals, and long-term planning. Throughout the campaign, he has conducted neighborhood listening walks and held meetings with locals to talk about traffic, road upkeep, public safety, development, and other community matters.

Lampkin also possesses over two decades of law-enforcement and public-safety background as a Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff. He is a California POST-certified Academy Instructor with professional expertise in emergency management, disaster readiness, major-event coordination, and interagency collaboration.

His community contributions include founding the D’Andre D. Lampkin Foundation, a nonprofit launched in 2017. The Foundation runs programs in education, food security, health and wellness, youth development, emergency readiness, disaster response, and civic involvement. Its initiatives have delivered food aid to more than 1,100 families and backed higher-education scholarships as well as disaster recovery projects.

Lampkin also holds the role of Vice Chairman for the Los Angeles Region Community Recovery Organization and has taken part in emergency preparedness and recovery efforts.

In September, Lampkin’s campaign unveiled the Ontario Development Transparency Dashboard, a separate online tool that compiles publicly available planning and development records. This campaign-built dashboard enables residents to look up development details and access underlying public records where possible. It is not an official City of Ontario website.

“Residents should be able to find information about decisions affecting their communities and have the opportunity to ask informed questions,” Lampkin said. “Making public information easier to access is an important part of encouraging greater participation in local government.”

Lampkin intends to keep meeting with District 3 residents and taking part in community gatherings during the months leading up to the election.

D’Andre Lampkin is a qualified candidate for Ontario City Council District 3 in the November 3, 2026 election.
