The State will promote its tourism offerings through roadshows and B2B engagements at WTM London 2026.
For a state that already packs UNESCO World Heritage sites, wildlife reserves, and coastal retreats into a single destination, Karnataka is making a concerted push into the UK travel market this November — signaling that it wants more than just a share of India-bound tourists; it wants to be the reason they book their flights in the first place.
BENGALURU, KARNATAKA, INDIA, November 1, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Karnataka Tourism is launching a concentrated promotional campaign across the United Kingdom during November 2026, featuring roadshow events in Manchester and Birmingham as well as a presence at World Travel Market (WTM) London 2026. The effort is designed to deepen ties with UK travel professionals, forge new commercial relationships, and boost awareness of the state’s diverse tourism portfolio among international industry players.
The first stop is Manchester on 2 November 2026. The Karnataka Tourism Roadshow will take place at The Edwardian Manchester, a Radisson Collection Hotel located at Free Trade Hall, Peter Street, Manchester, M2 5GP. Local travel agents, tour operators, destination management companies, and other tourism representatives from Manchester and the broader region are expected to attend. The agenda includes destination presentations that showcase Karnataka’s full range of tourism assets, followed by structured B2B sessions designed to allow direct conversations between the state’s delegation and UK-based travel trade professionals.
Immediately after Manchester, the team heads to London for WTM London 2026, running from 3 to 5 November 2026 at ExCeL London, 1 Western Gateway, Royal Docks, London E16 1XL, United Kingdom. The Karnataka Tourism pavilion will be at Stall No. N10-528. This global travel trade expo gives the state a chance to network with international tour operators, travel companies, destination management organizations, media, and other tourism stakeholders, while exploring potential business collaborations and destination promotion opportunities.
Leading the delegation is Mr. Kelachandra Joseph George, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Government of Karnataka. He is joined by Mr. Srinivas M, Chairman, Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC); Dr. V. Ram Prasath Manohar, IAS, Secretary to Government, Tourism Department, Government of Karnataka; Mr. Shivaprasad P.R., IAS, Managing Director, KSTDC and Commissioner, Karnataka Tourism; and Mr. Janardhana H.P., Joint Director, Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka — along with key tourism stakeholders from the state.
Across all three engagements, the delegation will meet with travel trade representatives and industry stakeholders to discuss the development of Karnataka-focused travel itineraries, explore business collaborations, and strengthen partnerships with the UK travel market.
Karnataka’s pitch will emphasize its wide range of tourism experiences: UNESCO World Heritage Sites, historic monuments, wildlife reserves, natural landscapes, coastal destinations, wellness retreats, and cultural traditions. Destinations such as Hampi, Mysuru, Badami, Coorg, Chikkamagaluru, and the state’s prominent wildlife areas offer UK travelers a blend of heritage, nature, culture, and experiential tourism. The state will also highlight its responsible tourism initiatives and Bengaluru’s potential as a business and MICE destination.
The UK outreach wraps up with the Karnataka Tourism Roadshow in Birmingham on 6 November 2026 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Birmingham. This event brings together travel trade professionals and tourism stakeholders for destination presentations and B2B interactions, offering another opportunity to introduce Karnataka’s tourism products, explore partnerships, and extend the state’s reach across the UK travel market.
Through this series of engagements, Karnataka Tourism aims to build stronger relationships with UK-based travel trade partners, encourage the inclusion of Karnataka in India travel itineraries, and create greater awareness of the state as a year-round destination offering varied experiences. The initiative also provides a chance to understand market requirements, gather industry feedback, and identify new avenues for collaboration.

Why it matters: With the UK being one of India’s largest source markets for inbound tourism, Karnataka’s targeted roadshows and WTM presence signal a strategic shift from generic destination marketing to direct B2B relationship-building. If successful, this approach could set a template for other Indian states looking to compete for high-value international travelers in an increasingly crowded global market.
