Second annual convention unites fans, actors & creators from August 21–23, with The Verties awards ceremony honoring achievements in vertical entertainment

LOS ANGELES , CA, UNITED STATES, August 20, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — With the audience for vertical entertainment continuing to surge on mobile devices, VertiCon: The Sequel is bringing the people behind this format together face to face.

Making its way back to Los Angeles from August 21–23 for a second annual event, VertiCon will gather fans, actors, creators and industry professionals at the Hilton Los Angeles Culver City across three days centered on the stories, characters and performers fueling the growth of vertical entertainment.

Designed specifically for the expanding community around vertical storytelling, VertiCon takes an entertainment experience largely delivered through smartphones and translates it into an in-person event.

Over the weekend, attendees can take part in live panels, Q&As, meet-and-greets, autograph and photo sessions, exclusive experiences, and conversations with actors and creators from across the vertical entertainment space.

Vertical micro-dramas are short, mobile-first series typically presented in a 9:16 portrait format and built for viewing on smartphones. As this format has expanded, so too has the passionate fanbase surrounding its series, characters, and increasingly well-known performers.

VertiCon offers a physical venue for that digital fandom, enabling audiences to interact with each other and meet the talent behind the stories they first encountered on their phones.

VertiCon: The Sequel will showcase a lineup of highly followed talent and presenters, including Ryan Larson, Erin Orcutt, Eric Guilmette, Jeff Violette, Cayman Cardiff, Rober Keefe, Alex Pychtin, Nick Ritacco, Brooke Moltrum, Shayne Davis, and Kirby Ellwood, with appearances and programming scheduled throughout the three-day convention.

Attendees will have chances to engage directly with talent through panels, Q&As, meet-and-greets, autograph and photo opportunities, and other exclusive experiences spread across the weekend.

The Verties Take Center Stage Saturday Night

The weekend also includes The Verties on Saturday, August 22, a live awards ceremony that honors the actors, writers, directors, producers, creators and productions shaping the rapidly evolving vertical entertainment field.

The Verties celebrates the human talent, performances, storytelling, craftsmanship and creative collaboration behind the stories millions of viewers watch on their phones every day.

Unlike a traditional industry awards show, The Verties unites creators and audiences, offering fans the chance to celebrate alongside the actors and creators they follow while recognizing the work happening both on screen and behind the scenes. The evening is designed to honor not only what vertical entertainment has become, but also the community of artists, storytellers and fans helping steer where the format goes next.

Cayman Cardiff and Dan Wolfgram will host The Verties, with musical performances by Riley Davis and Gabriella Graves.

The Verties — Saturday, August 22
Red Carpet: 6:30 p.m.
Doors Open: 7:45 p.m.
Awards Ceremony: 8:30 p.m.

What starts as a story watched individually on a phone turns into a shared experience at VertiCon; one built around connection, access, discovery and the community growing alongside one of entertainment's emerging formats.
