Space Force Association Opens Nominations for 2026 Spacepower Excellence Awards

The Space Force Association (SFA) is now accepting nominations for its 2026 awards honoring Innovation, Education, Media, and Human Exploration.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, UNITED STATES, September 3, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Nominations are now being accepted by the Space Force Association (SFA) for its 2026 awards in the categories of Innovation, Education, Media, and Human Exploration. Alongside the Spacepower Excellence Awards, which recognize top United States Space Force Guardians, these honors celebrate individuals and organizations from a variety of fields who are influencing the trajectory of spacepower.

Categories open for public nomination in 2026 are:
• Innovation, Engineering and Space Technology Award
• Leadership in Education Award
• Journalism, Literature, Media, and the Arts Award

“Every year, the SFA takes great pride in honoring the pioneers whose vision, leadership, and innovation are propelling human advancement and expanding our space capabilities,” stated Mark Dreiling, Awards Committee Chair. “We urge leaders, peers, and colleagues to put forward individuals and teams whose contributions are leaving a lasting mark on the space domain.”

Since 2024, the SFA has recognized 32 recipients, including civilians, Guardians, and Reservists, as well as 11 companies, nonprofits, and chapters.
