That revelation is all Lilly needs to jump headfirst into the pursuit. Interwoven throughout this contemporary mystery are flashbacks to a journal kept during World War II by the father of one of Lilly’s many romantic interests. The investigation travels from San Francisco to New York City and eventually to an old barn in Alsace, France, where the curator and the Caravaggio might—or might not—be concealed.

About the Author
Claudia Hagadus Long is the author of nine novels, including the Zara and Lilly Mysteries and the Simpato Mysteries. Her novel Nine Tenths of the Law has been optioned for a major motion picture. A graduate of Harvard University and Georgetown University Law Center, she practices law in the San Francisco Bay Area. She lives in Napa County, California, where she owns the independent bookstore Read Head Books.
