Seasoned biopharma leader and former cardiothoracic surgeon steps in as company moves lead candidate S-969 toward IND submission

Dr. Myers comes on board as Sarcomatrix progresses its lead small-molecule candidate, S-969, toward an Investigational New Drug (IND) submission and initial human trials.
Dr. Myers contributes over 15 years of executive-level experience directing clinical development, regulatory strategy, medical affairs, and global clinical operations within biotechnology companies working on cutting-edge therapies. Before arriving at Sarcomatrix, he held senior executive positions such as Chief Medical Officer at Beyond Air, Revolo Biotherapeutics, and Portola Pharmaceuticals. Earlier in his professional life, he worked as a congenital cardiothoracic surgeon and held the role of Chief of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and Tulane University.
