A one-day leadership summit will unite nationally acclaimed speakers to examine how leaders cultivate talent and amplify their influence.
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, UNITED STATES, August 18, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — This autumn, Oklahoma City will host several of the nation’s most distinguished authorities on leadership and organizational growth for RECON26: The Multiplication Effect, a single-day leadership conference dedicated to nurturing people, fortifying organizations, and broadening the reach of leadership.
Scheduled for October 8, 2026, at the University of Central Oklahoma’s Grand Ballroom in Edmond, RECON26 will assemble business leaders, executives, entrepreneurs, and professionals from across Oklahoma for a day of insights, hands-on leadership training, and networking.
The event boasts a nationally renowned roster of speakers: Juliet Funt, founder and CEO of WhiteSpace at Work; Sherri Coale, legendary University of Oklahoma women’s basketball coach and leadership speaker; Simon T. Bailey, internationally recognized leadership expert and author; Thomas Hill III, CEO of Kimray; and Nathan Mellor, CEO of Strata Leadership.
This year’s conference theme is “The Multiplication Effect: Developing People. Expanding Possibility.”
At the core of RECON26 lies a straightforward idea: leadership is multiplied through people.
How leaders communicate, make choices, develop talent, and shape culture does not end with them. It ripples through teams, organizations, families, and communities. RECON26 aims to push attendees to reflect not only on the outcomes they achieve but also on the leaders they are developing along the way.
“This year’s RECON is about recognizing the ripple effect of leadership,” said Thomas Hill III. “Every leader is multiplying something through the people around them. The question is whether we’re being intentional about what we’re multiplying.”
Throughout the day, speakers will tackle various facets of that leadership journey:
Create the Capacity — Juliet Funt will examine how leaders can clear the room needed for people and organizations to operate at their peak.
Coach the Potential — Sherri Coale will draw from a storied coaching career to share insights on spotting potential and drawing out the best in others.
Develop the Person — Simon T. Bailey will highlight the importance of growing people beyond their job titles and helping them identify and achieve their capabilities.
Own Your Leadership — Thomas Hill III will urge leaders to take full responsibility for the impact they have on the people and culture around them.
Multiply the Influence — Nathan Mellor will explore how leaders can cultivate influence that stretches beyond themselves.
The conference is designed for leaders at every stage—from executives and business owners to emerging leaders and professionals seeking to be more deliberate about how they affect others.
“RECON was created around the belief that healthy organizations begin with healthy leadership,” said Hill. “When we invest in people, we don’t just change an individual. We change what becomes possible for everyone they influence.”
For Oklahoma business and community leaders, the event presents a chance to access nationally recognized leadership programming without traveling outside the state.
RECON26 will take place Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the University of Central Oklahoma Grand Ballroom, 100 N. University Drive, Edmond, Oklahoma.
Early-bird registration is open now, with ticket prices set to increase on September 10, 2026.
