The association underscores education, advocacy, and resources accessible to members all year long.

LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, August 26, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) is emphasizing the ongoing advantages of its membership program as the organization commemorates its 125th anniversary serving the music products industry.

Individual membership in NAMM, which costs $150 per year, is available to professionals in music education, professional audio, entertainment technology, and live event production. The membership provides a pass to the NAMM Show, in addition to offering education, advocacy, and industry resources that are accessible throughout the year, not just during the annual gathering.

Education stands as a key pillar of membership. NAMM delivers webinars, workshops, and training sessions on a year-round basis, intended to help members refine retail skills, keep up with product trends, and manage the operational obstacles of operating a music business. During the 2026 NAMM Show, 505 educational sessions resulted in over 91,000 total session engagements, the organization reported.

Advocacy represents another continuous member advantage. NAMM advocates for the collective interests of the music products industry before lawmakers and regulators, addressing topics such as music education funding, tax policy, and trade regulations. The association states that its advocacy efforts aim to safeguard members’ businesses over the long run.

Membership also grants access to market data, service discounts, and a dedicated support team, as well as connections to a worldwide network of professionals. According to NAMM’s 2026 Post Show Report, the most recent NAMM Show attracted more than 60,000 attendees who collectively wielded $9.8 billion in buying power, with involvement from over 5,400 brands and 1,650 exhibitors.

"NAMM is more than a show, it’s an ecosystem where our industry showcases every sector and comes together to connect, learn, and move forward collectively," said Michael Kamphuis of Conn Selmer.

Individuals working in music education, professional audio, entertainment technology, or live event production can apply for membership via NAMM’s website. Employees of existing NAMM member companies can contact their administrators to learn about activating employee benefits. Artists are not currently eligible for individual membership but may sign up as qualified attendees for the NAMM Show.

NAMM noted that this milestone anniversary highlights a business model rooted in ongoing, year-round interaction with its members rather than relying solely on a single annual event.
