Montréal International Game Summit, Canada’s largest B2B games event, connects international companies with North American markets and opportunities

Companies are coming to Montréal from across North America and around the world to find partners, enter new markets and grow their businesses.”— Jean-Jacques Hermans, Executive Director, La Guilde du jeu vidéo du QuébecMONTRÉAL, QUEBEC, CANADA, September 17, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Montréal International Game Summit (MIGS), Canada’s biggest and most established B2B video game industry gathering, is set to take place at Grand Quay in Montréal on November 10-11, following a 2025 attendance surge of over 50%.

In 2025, MIGS drew more than 1,750 attendees, a significant jump from 1,100 in 2024, with representatives from 650+ companies across 29 countries. International participation exceeded 250, and 59% of attendees held management-level positions or higher.

Organized by La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec and produced by XP Gaming, MIGS serves as a bridge linking international game companies to North American markets via Montréal, while also helping North American firms connect with global partners and opportunities.

“MIGS has grown because the industry is looking beyond borders for new opportunities,” says Jean-Jacques Hermans, Executive Director of La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec. “Companies are coming to Montréal from across North America and around the world to find partners, enter new markets and grow their businesses. That international exchange is at the heart of what MIGS has become.”

FOCUSED ON TODAY’S GAME BUSINESS LANDSCAPE
The business of game development now reaches well beyond the walls of any single studio. Developers and publishers increasingly depend on external development partners, specialized technology, service providers and investors to launch games, expand their audiences and scale operations.

MIGS 2026 places the complete business ecosystem at the forefront. The EXDEV Hub offers external development and co-development firms a dedicated space on the show floor alongside the studios and publishers they serve. The Business Showfloor and Business Lounge provide venues for companies across the industry to connect and close deals, while the new PG Connects Stage, presented by Pocket Gamer, devotes a full day to mobile and AI. The Indie Zone and Indie Pitch link independent developers with publishing, investment and the broader industry.

“Companies are making more deliberate decisions about where they invest their time, capital and resources,” says Jason Lepine, Founder of XP Gaming. “That is driving more collaboration across the industry and creating new opportunities for specialized partners. MIGS puts that entire ecosystem in one place to connect and do business.”

GAME BUSINESS TAKES THE STAGE
MIGS 2026 programming covers financing, international expansion, studio strategy, publishing, market validation and independent development.

IO Interactive will present how its global studio approach shaped 007 First Light. Ghost Ship Games will discuss lessons from turning Deep Rock Galactic into a worldwide success. Montréal’s own Studio Paralives will detail the seven-year development journey behind Paralives, which surpassed 1.1 million copies sold within its first two months.

Additional speakers from Epic Games Store, Behaviour Interactive, Kitfox Games, 11 bit studios and others round out the agenda, with more sessions slated for announcement.
