Scheduled for Oct. 7-9, 2026, in Orlando, Florida, METALCON will offer expanded initiatives for women, up-and-coming professionals, and Latino participants, featuring Spanish-language education and practical training, leadership skill-building, networking sessions, and career-oriented gatherings.
These programs address growing demand throughout the metal construction sector, where a fresh wave of contractors, manufacturers, architects, engineers, suppliers, installers, designers, and business executives is propelling the industry onward.

FORGE Expands Women’s Programming at METALCON
METALCON’s initiative for women continues its expansion in 2026 with the debut of FORGE: Where Women in Metal Shape What’s Next, a half-day session taking place Tuesday, Oct. 6, the day before the exhibition opens at the Orange County Convention Center Destination Lounge.
FORGE builds on METALCON’s earlier women-focused programming, transitioning from a 1.5-hour event into a dedicated half-day experience for women at all career stages. It will unite women from across metal construction for leadership insights, substantive dialogue, and networking.
The session will feature keynote speaker Rita Goodroe delivering Beyond Impressive: Create Your Own Path in Construction and Beyond, succeeded by a panel discussion, More Than a Seat at the Table: Women Building Influence Across the Industry, with Bryce Batts, Kate Glantz, Erin Hoffman, and Amanda Turner.
FORGE will wrap up with a networking reception.
New Latino Track Adds Spanish-Language Education and Hands-On Training
In reaction to industry demand and the necessity for more approachable education, METALCON 2026 will launch new Latino programming delivered in Spanish, backed by Spanish-language hands-on demonstrations in the METALCON Training Zone presented by MetalVue. Demonstrations will include mock-ups and materials such as painted steel, aluminum, zinc, copper, and other specialty items, with instruction centered on proper detailing, tool usage, and installation methods.
Directed by John Sheridan of Sheridan Metal Resources and his group of specialists, the Training Zone will be situated in the exhibit hall and accessible during expo hours.
Emerging Professionals Gain Access to the Industry’s Full Value Chain
METALCON 2026 will further broaden programming for emerging professionals, enabling early-career attendees to forge connections and engage directly with those shaping the future of metal construction.
