Safaryar Holidays hosted 65,280 travelers from MENA in 2025, representing a 52% increase, and the average stay duration decreased from 4.3 to 3.8 nights across a network of 257 contracted hotels.

A shorter visit does not indicate weaker demand; it signifies a different type of journey. MENA travelers now view Istanbul as a repeatable short getaway rather than a once-in-a-lifetime vacation.”— Alper Tekin, Founder of Safaryar Holidays

Safaryar Holidays, a destination management company based in Istanbul and a wholesale hotel supplier, has released its operational data for 2025, indicating that it served 65,280 passengers from the Middle East and North Africa—a 52 percent rise compared to 2024—while the average stay dropped from 4.3 to 3.8 nights.

Together, these statistics indicate a fundamental change in how MENA visitors utilize Istanbul: they are taking more frequent but shorter journeys. Despite the average stay decreasing by about 12 percent, the total number of passenger nights managed by the company still increased by roughly 34 percent year-on-year, from around 184,900 to 248,000.

Safaryar Holidays operates as a business-to-business destination management company (DMC), offering contracted hotel inventory, transfers, MICE services, and inbound tour packages in Türkiye to travel agencies globally. Established in Istanbul in 2018 and operating under Sindibad Turizm Ticaret Anonim Şirketi, the company collaborates with 370 partner agencies and has direct contracts with 257 hotels in Istanbul, Ankara, and Van.

The demand for accommodation was primarily in the upper-midscale category. In 2025, 62% of passengers resided in four-star hotels, 22% in five-star hotels, and 16% in three-star hotels—amounting to around 40,500, 14,400, and 10,400 passengers
