SV.LEAGUE to Hold First Overseas Official Matches in Bangkok
Japan’s premier volleyball league, SV.LEAGUE, is set to host its inaugural official league matches beyond Japan’s borders in Bangkok for the 2026–27 season:
・Women: October 10–11, 2026
・Men: January 23–24, 2027
Thailand was chosen as the league’s first overseas market because of the country’s robust volleyball following and its role as a gateway to the broader Southeast Asian region. Through the Bangkok matches, SV.LEAGUE seeks to deepen ties with Thai supporters while expanding its footprint across Asia.
In the lead-up to these landmark games, four athletes from competing clubs will travel to Bangkok and take part in appearances at NIPPON HAKU BANGKOK on August 29th–30.
Thai National Team Players Competing in SV.LEAGUE Ready for Interviews
Among the visiting players are two Thai volleyball stars who currently play in Japan’s SV.LEAGUE:

・Hattaya Bamrungsuk – SAGA Hisamitsu Springs | Middle Blocker
They will be accompanied by two Japanese players:
・Shunsuke Nakamura – Osaka Bluteon | Setter
