Business, education and young people each bring something different to the table. When we connect those communities around a shared purpose, we create possibilities that none of us could create alone”— Joan BrothersNEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, August 28, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Sometimes a single introduction is all it takes to spark lasting change.
Joan Brothers, a PRME Advocate for the UNGC (an initiative of the United Nations Global Compact), played a key role in facilitating the partnership between TRIIBE and the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) community. That effort led to a collaboration aimed at empowering the next wave of entrepreneurs, innovators, and changemakers.
This connection helped support Founder Kyle Matthys and the TRIIBE Talk: Youth Innovation for SDG Acceleration, a New York gathering that brought together leaders from business, education, the United Nations community, and civil society, alongside students, young innovators, and entrepreneurs.
“One of my favorite things is connecting people who share a bigger purpose,” said Brothers. “What makes this especially meaningful to me is seeing a collaboration — that collaboration creates opportunities for young people to be part of solving some of the challenges that will shape their future.”
The initiative centered on youth leadership, entrepreneurship, education, and innovation as means to accelerate progress toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
In August, TRIIBE, PRME, and the Forum for World Education brought participants together at the Penn Club of New York for cross-sector and intergenerational conversations aimed at strengthening youth- and education-driven innovation ecosystems and fostering actionable collaboration.
PRME, an initiative of the United Nations Global Compact, partners with business and management schools worldwide to promote responsible management education and prepare future leaders who can contribute to sustainable development.
For Brothers, this collaboration represents something bigger than a single event.
“This is ultimately about building bridges,” she said. “Business, education and young people each bring something different to the table. When we connect those communities around a shared purpose, we create possibilities that none of us could create alone.”
The partnership also reflects Brothers’ broader dedication to linking people, organizations, and international communities around opportunities for meaningful and enduring impact.
