Indonesia’s Involvement Unlocks Industrial Collaboration Avenues with Eurasia
JAKARTA, JAKARTA, INDONESIA, July 31, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — By serving as the Official Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026, Indonesia has created a direct pathway for Eurasian investors and business entities to engage in industrial partnerships within the country, which is currently evolving under the New National Industrialization Strategy (Strategi Baru Industrialisasi Nasional/SBIN). Scheduled for July 6–9, 2026, in Yekaterinburg, Russia, INNOPROM 2026 will act as a convergence point for Eurasian industrial stakeholders and Indonesia’s shifting industrial landscape. Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita underscored that Indonesia is no longer just a market with potential but is now presenting a well-defined and quantifiable industrial development trajectory.
“With the New National Industrialization Strategy, Indonesia is laying a more robust, contemporary, and sustainable industrial groundwork. We are creating extensive opportunities for international collaborations that can bring in high-quality investments, facilitate technology exchange, and boost the capabilities of our national industry,” stated Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, in Jakarta (6/24).
The New National Industrialization Strategy (SBIN) represents the Ministry of Industry’s response to fast-paced global economic transformations, including the acceleration of digitalization, the energy transition, and shifts in worldwide supply chains. It also functions as Indonesia’s roadmap toward the Golden Indonesia 2045 Vision. This strategy is grounded in President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita national development vision and serves as the primary framework for achieving an independent, competitive, and sustainable industrialization process. SBIN will roll out four priority areas that create partnership openings for Eurasian investors across diverse Indonesian industrial sectors. These four key pillars are: strengthening value-added manufacturing derived from natural resources, advancing industrial technology via the Making Indonesia 4.0 roadmap, promoting green industrialization, and developing industrial human resources.
Director General of Industrial Resilience, Regional Development, and International Industrial Access (KPAII), Tri Supondy, noted that Indonesia’s role at INNOPROM 2026 represents a significant milestone for reinforcing Indonesia’s status as a durable industrial ally for the Eurasian region. “The primary goal of Indonesia’s involvement in INNOPROM 2026 is to cement Indonesia’s standing as a long-term industrial collaborator for Eurasia. During this exhibition, Indonesia will showcase SBIN, which allows the country to create a manufacturing ecosystem that is organized, transparent, and more receptive to international partnerships,” he remarked in a press release in Jakarta (6/24).
Indonesia enters INNOPROM 2026 with a robust standing as Southeast Asia’s top manufacturing nation. The country’s Manufacturing Value Added (MVA) has hit USD 265 billion, ranking it 13th globally. As of August 2025, Indonesia’s non-oil and gas manufacturing exports totaled USD 147.9 billion, making up nearly 80 percent of the nation’s overall exports. This industrial base serves as the concrete foundation for Indonesia’s presence in Yekaterinburg. Indonesia’s participation in INNOPROM 2026 will bring together over 50 industrial players ready to generate tangible partnership opportunities for Eurasian industry participants and investors. Four main collaboration avenues are being offered to Eurasian partners. First, technology partnerships and knowledge transfer are available for companies specializing in industrial machinery, automation systems, petrochemicals, and materials, allowing them to work with national industries that are speeding up the modernization of their production processes through the Metal, Machinery, Transportation Equipment, and Electronics (ILMATE) industrial pavilion zone and the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Textile Industries (IKFT) pavilion zone. Second, there are direct investment prospects in fully operational and professionally run industrial parks, backed by regulatory stability reinforced through the New National Industrialization Strategy (SBIN).
Third, opportunities exist for collaborating on downstream supply chain development for strategic commodities like nickel, bauxite, copper, cobalt, and lithium, generating substantial demand for processing technologies and materials engineering. Fourth, partnership possibilities are available in the value-added agro and food sector through the AGRO pavilion zone, offering collaborative openings in food processing technology, logistics, and expanded distribution networks along with market access. By participating as the Official Partner Country, Indonesia is not only displaying its industrial accomplishments but is also presenting a more targeted, quantifiable, and sustainable cooperation framework. Backed by SBIN, INNOPROM 2026 is anticipated to become the entry point for strengthening investments, technology transfer, and enduring industrial collaborations that solidify Indonesia’s role in the global manufacturing value chain.
