Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, scientists grew more interested in the possible biological effects of certain Australian native plant extracts and the routes by which naturally occurring compounds could alter inflammatory and immune-response pathways.
Investigations associated with the scientific groundwork of GenBio’s program have since examined mechanisms involving nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB), a key controller of inflammatory and immune signaling.
Published laboratory studies of particular Australian botanical extracts have documented modulation of inflammatory mediators and NF-κB-associated activity, offering additional scientific justification for exploring the underlying bioactive compounds and their possible mechanisms.
