Studios, service providers, and companies backed by accelerators from Brazil will showcase new games and business prospects in Cologne.

Brazil Games, the export initiative for games managed by Abragames (the Brazilian Association of Game Developers) together with ApexBrasil (the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), has disclosed its plans for gamescom 2026, which will be held from August 19 to 23 in Cologne, Germany.

Brazil Games is making a return to the planet’s biggest video game gathering with a delegation made up of Brazilian developers, service firms, independent studios, and industry representatives. This group will occupy space in both the business and consumer sections of gamescom, underscoring Brazil’s role as a nation that produces original games, delivers specialized production services, and cultivates enduring ties with the global marketplace.

This effort is part of the ongoing work directed by Abragames and ApexBrasil to assist Brazilian game companies in their internationalization. At gamescom, Brazil Games will link studios with publishers, investors, platforms, media, and possible business collaborators, while also offering players a chance to explore projects created in Brazil.

Brazil’s showing at the event mirrors a sector that has grown more sophisticated in recent years. The delegation includes companies that focus on original intellectual properties, co-development, art, animation, outsourcing, and other niche services. Collectively, they present a more comprehensive view of the Brazilian games industry: inventive, commerce-focused, and increasingly ready to compete in global markets.

“Brazil continues to prove itself as an ever more valuable partner for the worldwide games industry,” remarked Patricia Sato, Executive Manager at Brazil Games. “Our collaboration with ApexBrasil and Abragames is geared toward generating real opportunities for Brazilian companies, spanning business meetings to visibility for fresh projects. Brazil possesses talent, technical know-how, and a distinct creative identity, and we want the global market to witness that firsthand.”

Brazil Takes the Spotlight at gamescom’s Indie Area

For the first time ever, Brazil Games will run a dedicated pavilion inside gamescom’s Indie Area, creating a fresh showcase platform for emerging Brazilian studios and original IPs. The pavilion will bring together initiatives and support from the Brazil Games Accelerator, Embratur, and Sebrae-SP, collectively presenting dozens of Brazilian-developed titles to international audiences throughout the event.

As the primary exhibitor inside the pavilion, the Brazil Games Accelerator will feature a curated selection of games from its most recent cohort, emphasizing the program’s role in supporting promising Brazilian studios with international growth potential.

This Indie Area presence marks a significant milestone for Brazil’s independent development scene. It provides international audiences with direct access to games shaped by Brazilian creators, featuring projects that reflect diverse regions, references, stories, and styles from across the country.

A Consolidated B2B Presence at gamescom

Beyond its consumer-facing activities, Brazil Games will sustain a robust presence in the B2B area, arranging meetings between Brazilian companies and international publishers, investors, service providers, and industry stakeholders.

Participating companies will present both original game projects and specialized development services, reinforcing Brazil’s standing as a dependable partner for co-development, outsourcing, and creative collaboration.

For gamescom 2026, Brazil Games has also broadened its business support materials and industry catalogues, introducing dedicated publications focused on games and service providers. The aim is to simplify how international partners grasp what Brazilian companies offer, identify potential collaborators, and initiate conversations during the event.

This business focus lies at the core of the Brazil Games Export Program. The program’s work at international events goes beyond mere promotion. It is structured to help Brazilian companies access markets, nurture relationships, and convert visibility into concrete opportunities.

Brazil’s Expanding Games Ecosystem

Brazil Games’ participation at gamescom 2026 comes at a moment when the Brazilian game development sector continues to attract international notice, buoyed by initiatives that encourage innovation, entrepreneurship, and export readiness.

The delegation will highlight upcoming projects scheduled for release over the next two years, including games from the Brazil Games Accelerator and other development programs linked to the country’s industry growth.

By uniting established companies and new studios, Brazil Games aims to solidify Brazil’s role as a relevant player in the international games market. The initiative also reinforces the function of Abragames and ApexBrasil in building bridges between Brazilian companies and global partners.
Brazil’s presence at gamescom also serves as a reminder of what distinguishes the country’s game industry: a blend of technical skill, creative energy, cultural diversity, and the ability to work with partners from various markets. From business meetings to the Indie Area, Brazil Games will present a nation that is prepared not only to display its games but also to engage in business with the world.

Further details on participating companies, showcased games, and meeting opportunities at gamescom 2026 will be disclosed in the upcoming weeks.
