When a nonprofit dedicated to older adults sets its sights on a world record, it’s about more than just breaking a milestone — it’s about proving that strength has no expiration date. That’s exactly the message Strong Over 50 is bringing to Tampa this November.
Award-winning nonprofit hosts a free Nov. 15 event in Tampa, aiming to set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for Largest Strength Training Lesson.
We’re bringing our community together to make history in Tampa and show that building strength, confidence and independence has no age limit.”— Micah Morgan, Founder of Strong Over 50TAMPA, FL, UNITED STATES, October 13, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Strong Over 50 is set to turn Armature Works into a hub of wellness and community spirit on Sunday, November 15, 2026, from 1–4 p.m., as the organization goes for a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title in the Largest Strength Training Lesson category.
The event will unfold inside The Gathering at Armature Works, with Tampa Mayor Jane Castor and Temple Terrace Mayor Andy Ross both slated to attend. Their joint presence underscores a shared commitment from two neighboring cities to promote healthier, more resilient communities.
Strong Over 50 was founded by Micah Morgan, a local fitness professional who saw a gap in accessible wellness programming for adults aged 50 and up. The organization focuses on strength training and wellness resources that help older adults maintain independence, build confidence, and forge social connections. Its efforts recently earned the title of Best New Non-Profit from the Temple Terrace Uptown Chamber of Commerce.
The November 15 gathering offers attendees a rare chance to participate in a world record attempt while spotlighting the lifelong benefits of resistance training. For older adults, such exercise can be transformative — making everyday tasks like lifting groceries or rising from a chair significantly easier.
Beyond the record attempt itself, the afternoon will feature wellness organizations, vendor booths, and remarks from community leaders and speakers. There will also be information on how Strong Over 50 is expanding its reach across Tampa Bay to get more older adults moving.
Morgan sees the event as more than a one-day spectacle. The organization is actively seeking sponsors, vendors, and partners to help underwrite the record attempt and fund future programming that keeps older adults strong and independent. View sponsorship and vendor opportunities.
