We want to help people develop their ideas, support their statements with facts, and communicate in ways that inform rather than simply attract attention.”— Adrienne Barker, MAS

PressLaunch.vip has officially launched the Media Contributors Network, a fresh effort aimed at equipping professionals, subject-matter experts, and aspiring media participants with the tools to prepare, verify facts, and tell stories responsibly. This is not a flashy content mill; it is a structured push for informed public discourse.

Founded by Adrienne Barker, MAS, the Media Contributors Network is being built for a wide range of participants—entrepreneurs, educators, advocates, podcast hosts, and others whose expertise or lived experience can bring depth to public conversations. The focus will be on practical skills for those interested in contributing to podcasts, interviews, articles, research-driven storytelling, and community dialogue.

A core principle of the network is transparency: contributors will be encouraged to clearly state their relevant affiliations and to draw a sharp line between professional knowledge or firsthand experience and unsubstantiated assertions.

“Everyone has a story, but not every story is ready for the media,” said Adrienne Barker, MAS, founder of PressLaunch.vip and the Media Contributors Network. “We want to help people develop their ideas, support their statements with facts, and communicate in ways that inform rather than simply attract attention.”

To kick things off, PressLaunch.vip is recognizing its Founding 22: Adrienne Barker, MAS; Malika Staar; Sheila Slick, MS; Brian P. Swift, JD; Debbie D. Wahba; William “Mild Bill” Janosik; Jason “Shake” Anderson; Karmani Marie Faison; Lesley George; Alex Dumas; Gia; Dr. Janet Uribe; Christy Chatham; Jessica Trask; Paula Heckenast; G. A. Pimpleton; Zeinab Suleiman; Lea Rosenberry; Tiffany Licot; Danielle Paci; Lauren LaPointe; and Dr. Jeff Moffett.

Together, these founding members bring expertise across business, leadership, publishing, podcasting, disability advocacy, consumer education, finance, health and wellness, fashion and technology, and more. Their public directory, listing each person’s professional role, work, and approved coverage interests, is available at https://presslaunch-media.manus.space/. Profiles and images are only published after information and permissions have been confirmed.

Rather than acting as a simple directory, the network intends to showcase the professional journeys and areas of knowledge that shape each contributor’s viewpoint. The goal is to help audiences understand who these contributors are and the context behind their perspectives.

The launch also features a contributor interview series. Barker will invite selected founding contributors to appear on The Story Behind the Release, a companion PressLaunch podcast. These conversations will delve into the professional experiences and questions that drive each guest’s work. Selected interviews may later be used for contributor profiles and educational content, pending participant approval and editorial standards.

The network’s planned educational programming will cover media literacy, source verification, interview preparation, research fundamentals, storytelling, media ethics, conflicts of interest, and the use of artificial intelligence in media work. Future workshops, guest discussions, and learning materials will be clearly labeled as planned programming as they develop.

“These skills matter at the dinner table, in boardrooms, on social media, and in everyday conversations,” Barker said. “You do not have to work in a newsroom to recognize misinformation, ask better questions, or understand why credible sources matter.”

Barker has also joined Investigative Reporters and Editors Inc. as the producer of The Story Behind the Release podcast. IRE is a nonprofit dedicated to improving investigative reporting through training and collaboration. She plans to attend the 2027 NICAR Conference, scheduled for March 11–14 in Denver, to further her skills in data journalism, investigative techniques, technology, and artificial intelligence.

The Media Contributors Network is an independent PressLaunch.vip initiative. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Investigative Reporters and Editors or NICAR.

As the network grows, it plans to publish editorial and contributor guidelines covering permission to use names and images, factual verification, conflicts of interest, and the distinction between promotional content, commentary, educational materials, and independent journalism. Participation does not constitute employment by a newsroom or guarantee publication, media access, assignments, compensation, or press credentials.

“Visibility can open a door, but credibility is what keeps that door open,” Barker said. “We want to help contributors build both.”

Why it matters: As misinformation spreads faster than ever, initiatives like the Media Contributors Network aim to rebuild trust by teaching source verification and ethical storytelling. This isn’t just about getting media coverage—it’s about ensuring that the voices entering public conversation are prepared, transparent, and accountable.
