PressLaunch.vip launches Media Contributors Network to train credible independent voices

In an era when misinformation spreads faster than fact-checking, PressLaunch.vip is stepping in to give credible voices a pathway into the public conversation. The new Media Contributors Network is designed to help professionals and experts contribute to media with proper preparation and a commitment to factual accuracy.

The initiative provides learning resources, contributor interviews, and practical guidance for professionals who want to share verified information.

“We want to help people develop their ideas, support their statements with facts, and communicate in ways that inform rather than simply attract attention.”— Adrienne Barker, MAS

PressLaunch.vip has officially unveiled the Media Contributors Network, an independent effort aimed at equipping professionals, subject-matter experts, and emerging contributors with the tools they need to engage in media opportunities responsibly. The focus is on preparation, fact-checking, and ethical storytelling.

Founded by Adrienne Barker, MAS, the network targets a broad audience: professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, advocates, podcast hosts, and others whose expertise or lived experience can enrich public discourse. Participants will gain practical skills relevant to podcasts, interviews, articles, research-based storytelling, and community discussions.

A key emphasis of the program is guiding contributors to disclose relevant affiliations and to clearly separate professional knowledge and firsthand experience from unsubstantiated claims.

“Everyone has a story, but not every story is ready for the media,” said Barker, who also serves as founder of PressLaunch.vip. “We want to help people develop their ideas, support their statements with facts, and communicate in ways that inform rather than simply attract attention.”

To mark the launch, PressLaunch.vip is honoring its Founding 22: Adrienne Barker, MAS; Malika Staar; Sheila Slick, MS; Brian P. Swift, JD; Debbie D. Wahba; William “Mild Bill” Janosik; Jason “Shake” Anderson; Karmani Marie Faison; Lesley George; Alex Dumas; Gia; Dr. Janet Uribe; Christy Chatham; Jessica Trask; Paula Heckenast; G. A. Pimpleton; Zeinab Suleiman; Lea Rosenberry; Tiffany Licot; Danielle Paci; Lauren LaPointe; and Dr. Jeff Moffett.

These founding members bring a wide range of publicly listed roles and coverage interests, spanning business, leadership, publishing, authorship, podcasting, disability advocacy, consumer education, finance, health and wellness, fashion and beauty, technology, community building, arts and culture, and public conversation. The public directory, available at https://presslaunch-media.manus.space/, identifies each member’s professional role, work, and approved coverage interests. Profiles and images are only published after verifying information and obtaining permissions.

Rather than serving simply as a database of names, the network intends to showcase the professional journeys, experiences, and knowledge areas that shape each contributor’s viewpoint. The goal is to give audiences a clearer picture of who these contributors are, what they know, and the context behind their opinions.

The launch also introduces a contributor interview series. Barker will invite select founding members to chat on The Story Behind the Release, a companion PressLaunch podcast. These conversations will delve into the professional experiences, questions, and issues that inform each guest’s work. Some interviews may later be used to support contributor profiles and educational content, pending participant approval and adherence to editorial standards.

The network’s planned educational offerings will cover media literacy, source verification, interview preparation, research fundamentals, storytelling, media ethics, conflicts of interest, and the role of artificial intelligence in media work. Upcoming workshops, guest discussions, and learning tools will be clearly labeled as planned programming as they take shape.

“These skills matter at the dinner table, in boardrooms, on social media, and in everyday conversations,” Barker said. “You do not have to work in a newsroom to recognize misinformation, ask better questions, or understand why credible sources matter.”

Barker has also joined Investigative Reporters and Editors Inc. as the producer of The Story Behind the Release. IRE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving investigative reporting through training, resources, and professional collaboration. She plans to attend the 2027 NICAR Conference, scheduled for March 11–14 in Denver, to further her skills in data journalism, investigative techniques, technology, and artificial intelligence.

It’s important to note that the Media Contributors Network is an independent PressLaunch.vip initiative and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Investigative Reporters and Editors or NICAR.

As the network grows, it plans to publish editorial and contributor guidelines addressing permission for names and images, factual verification, conflicts of interest, and the distinction between promotional content, commentary, educational materials, and independently reported journalism. Joining the network does not mean employment by a newsroom, nor does it guarantee publication, media access, assignments, compensation, or press credentials.

“Visibility can open a door, but credibility is what keeps that door open,” Barker said. “We want to help contributors build both.”

Why it matters: As public trust in media continues to be tested, initiatives like this one aim to raise the bar for who gets heard and how. By prioritizing verification and ethics over mere visibility, the network could help shift the conversation toward more informed and credible public discourse.
