Agent Review and Connectiv team up to verify every insurance pro at Protectors Vegas 2026

The insurance industry has a trust problem — and two major players are betting that verified identities at live events are part of the fix. At Protectors Vegas, the first conference dedicated to life insurance, annuities, and the broader financial protection ecosystem, every licensed agent and advisor walking in will walk out with something more than swag: a free Agent Review profile and AI video identity verification services.

This isn’t just a booth perk. The partnership, announced by Agent Review and Connectiv, is designed to help insurance professionals prove who they are and boost consumer confidence in an era of deepfakes and fabricated credentials. The verification services powering the program include Veriff and YuBi, with Veriff holding SOC 2 Type II compliance and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification — meaning the underlying security and data protection standards are independently audited and rigorous.

Before the conference opens, attendees will receive enrollment instructions and personal verification links. Those who successfully complete the identity verification process will earn the “Video Verified Agent” recognition, which they can display across their Agent Review profiles, websites, social media pages, and consumer-facing communications. “Our partnership with Agent Review gives insurance agents something they can use beyond the conference: documented recognition that helps them demonstrate who they are and their participation in professional education,” said Jay Weintraub, Founder and CEO of Connectiv, the creators of Protectors, Medicarians, and other leading industry events.

The program goes a step further with a new 2026 Protectors Onsite Verified credential. This badge is based on documented registration, onsite identity checks, and event participation — not just a claim of attendance. The framework also incorporates documented participation in conference education sessions, giving agents a verifiable record of the event and the year they completed the applicable requirements.

“Consumers need a way to check the person behind those claims,” said Jonas C. Roeser, Co-Founder and CEO of Agent Review. “Video identity verification, monthly professional credential checks and documented conference participation give legitimate agents more ways to substantiate their background.” The initiative directly targets concerns about impersonation, deepfakes, and fabricated professional identities — a growing problem as digital discovery systems become the first stop for consumers researching financial professionals.

It’s worth noting what these credentials do and don’t mean. Video and conference credentials are separate from Agent Review’s full Verified Agent status, which requires its own identity verification plus monthly independent professional checks. Conference credentials only document identity and participation supported by event records; they don’t independently establish licensing or certify expertise. That distinction keeps the program honest about what it delivers.

About Agent Review: The platform is a consumer education, professional verification, and reputation hub for insurance professionals. Its Verified Agent program layers independent third-party professional checks, video identity verification, and structured profiles to help consumers evaluate professionals and help agents showcase their credentials. Verification is not an endorsement or guarantee of performance or future conduct.

About Connectiv: Connectiv Holdings is a live events studio that builds defining gatherings for the industries it serves. Its newest brand, Protectors, powered by NAIFA, is the first event to bring the life, annuity, and long-term care ecosystem together under one roof. It unites agents, advisors, carriers, IMOs, FMOs, BGAs, index providers, technology innovators, and investors around the future of financial protection. The inaugural Protectors Vegas takes place November 9th – 11th, 2026, at The Venetian Las Vegas. Connectiv also operates Medicarians, the largest event convening senior health, senior wealth, and ACA. Over its almost 20-year history, the company has had six exits, including LeadsCon, InsureTech Connect, Mobile Apps Unlocked, Transform, Blueprint, and Manifest.

Agent Review – Find the right verified agent the first time

Why it matters: As impersonation and deepfake tactics erode trust in financial advice, a conference-wide verification push sets a new baseline for how the industry proves identity and participation. If adopted broadly, this kind of documented credentialing could become a standard expectation for consumers researching agents online — shifting the burden from self-promotion to independently verified fact.
