RALC Italia brings simpler automation to HVAC manufacturing at Chillventa 2026

As the HVAC industry pushes toward greater efficiency and flexibility, the gap between advanced machinery and the skilled labor needed to run it keeps widening. RALC Italia is heading to Chillventa 2026 with a direct answer to that problem: machines designed to be powerful, yet simple enough for any operator to master quickly.

At the upcoming edition of Chillventa, one of the world’s leading trade fairs for refrigeration, AC, and HVAC technologies, RALC Italia will showcase its latest innovative solutions for heat exchanger production and tube processing. The next edition of Chillventa will be held from October 13 to 15, 2026, at the NürnbergMesse exhibition center in Nuremberg, Germany.

RALC Italia has been designing and manufacturing automatic machinery and custom systems for processing tubes, profiles, and sheet metal since 1990. With more than 35 years of activity behind it, the company has exported its technologies to 56 countries, building a strong international presence within the HVAC sector.

Rather than simply displaying a lineup of machines, RALC Italia says it will use Chillventa to highlight technologies that embody its core philosophy: innovation, manufacturing flexibility, and user simplicity. A central attraction at the booth will be RALC’s patented CNC Wall-ring Machine, a proven technology already trusted by major global HVAC manufacturers.

That machine creates fan collar nozzles directly on the heat exchanger casing through a progressive cold-forming process using three rollers. It can form multiple fan collars with different customized geometries on the same sheet metal casing, tailored to specific client requirements.

The process delivers high repeatability across materials like aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, giving manufacturers the ability to develop optimized geometries for better thermal efficiency and acoustic performance. For flanged collars, automatic or robotic punching units can be integrated into the cycle.

RALC will also present its 5-axis machining center for manifold tubes, which combines drilling, milling, flow drilling, and tapping into one automatic cycle. To tackle the usual complexity of 5-axis programming—which normally requires CAD/CAM systems and specialized staff—RALC has developed a new on-machine programming interface.

That interface is designed to make advanced technology accessible and easy to manage. Operators can create and set up new parts quickly and intuitively, with no CAD/CAM expertise required. The software also supports direct importing of STEP and DWG files, automatically converting them into ISO machine code and significantly shortening the path from drawing to production.

Chillventa will also mark the debut of the new RALC R135, engineered for end-forming and closing tubes up to 135 mm in diameter. Beyond standard end-closing operations—including flat end closures with specialized tooling—the R135 is built for enhanced versatility. With dedicated tooling and custom operational cycles, the machine can execute additional end geometries, giving manufacturers more flexibility for short runs and varied products.

“Participating in Chillventa is an opportunity to share the technological direction RALC is taking,” says Andrea Lazzarini, CEO of RALC Italia. “Automation, flexibility, and performance remain vital, but making sophisticated technology easy to program and operate in daily manufacturing environments is equally important.”

That vision reflects RALC Italia’s continuous journey over the last 35 years: acting not just as a machinery manufacturer, but as a reliable technology partner delivering tailored solutions built around actual customer needs.

Why it matters: As HVAC manufacturers face mounting pressure to improve efficiency while coping with skilled-labor shortages, RALC Italia’s push to simplify high-end machine programming could lower the barrier to adopting advanced automation. The company’s focus on user-friendly interfaces and versatile tooling suggests that the next competitive edge in this sector may come not just from machine capability, but from how easily manufacturers can put that capability to work.
